Some cases stay with you long after the courtroom lights fade. They remind you that behind every file, every hearing, and every verdict there’s a family forever changed.
For us at Hasty Pope, the story of Gloria and Christian Ingram is one we will never forget.
A Family Rooted in Service
The Ingram family has been a part of the North Georgia community for nearly four decades. Through Ingram Towing and Impound Service, Gloria and her husband built more than a business they built a legacy of service.
Their son, Frank Ingram, carried that legacy forward. Frank was known for his hard work, his loyalty, and the care he showed to everyone he met. Whether it was helping a stranded driver or mentoring younger operators, Frank embodied everything good about his family’s name.
The Day Everything Changed
In 2023, Frank responded to a call for help on a busy Georgia highway. It was the kind of work he did every day assisting a disabled dump truck on the shoulder, following safety protocols, lights flashing, doing everything right.
As he was hooking up the safety chain, a distracted driver drifted out of their lane. In an instant, Frank’s life was taken.
He was just doing his job helping someone else.
A Family Left Broken
When the Ingram family got the news, their world collapsed. Gloria had already endured more loss than most people can imagine her husband and daughter were both gone. Frank was her only remaining child.
For Christian, losing his father meant losing his mentor, his friend, and his partner in the family business. Every day since, he’s had to walk past Frank’s empty desk a constant reminder of what was taken from them.
Finding Help, Finding Hope
Amid their grief, Gloria and Christian didn’t know where to turn. A family friend gave them the number for Hasty Pope Injury Law, and that call changed everything.
From the first meeting, our team’s goal was simple to help this family find clarity, answers, and justice. We came to their home, sat with them, and listened. We explained every step, handled every detail, and made sure they never had to face the process alone.
As Gloria said, “It was almost as if they adopted us as part of their family.”
Justice and the Power of Awareness
While no legal result could ever replace Frank, Gloria and Christian found strength in using their story to make a difference.
Together, we helped them bring awareness to Georgia’s Move Over Law a law designed to protect first responders, tow operators, and anyone working along the roadside.
Under this law, drivers must move over one lane if possible, or slow down significantly if they can’t. Failing to do so can result in serious fines but more importantly, it can prevent tragedy.
Every time someone moves over, they could be saving a life like Frank’s.
A Message That Matters
Today, Gloria and Christian continue to speak publicly about Frank’s story, urging every driver to take the law and their responsibility seriously.
Their message is simple and powerful:
“Please, move over. Protect the people who protect us.”
Their courage honors Frank’s legacy and serves as a reminder that behind every flashing light on the side of the road, there’s a family waiting for someone to come home.
What We Learned
For our team at Hasty Pope, working with the Ingram family was more than a case it was a calling.
It reminded us why we do what we do: to stand with Georgia families when tragedy strikes, to hold those responsible accountable, and to make our communities safer through every story we tell and every verdict we fight for.
