How long do I have to file a car accident claim in Georgia?

What should I do after a car accident in Canton, GA?
Get medical attention, exchange information with the other driver, document the scene and your injuries, notify your insurance company, and contact a car accident attorney. Our step-by-step guide explains each step.
Do I need a lawyer after a car accident?
Georgia does not require you to hire a lawyer to bring a claim. But if your claim is denied, disputed, or devalued, or if fault is shared, a lawyer can investigate the crash, negotiate with the insurance company, and represent you in court.
