For Dustin Davies, law is a bit like investigative reporting – tracking down witnesses, talking with people, taking photographs, researching, and analyzing and re-analyzing the facts, issues, and law of a case.
Dustin says, “I always want to be ready. I want my clients to know I’m prepared and I’m doing everything I can to help them out.” That determination has benefitted Dustin’s clients. In two recent trials, the juries returned verdicts for Dustin’s clients for nearly ten times the amount of the last offers from the insurance companies to settle the cases before trial. Dustin has also obtained 5 jury verdicts in amounts greater than the available insurance coverage.
In August 2014, Dustin and Jon Pope obtained a $2.8 million verdict in a dental malpractice trial. This is the largest dental malpractice verdict ever in Georgia.
Every year since 2014, Dustin has been recognized as a Georgia Rising Star by Super Lawyers and Atlanta Magazine. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Georgia are selected for this honor. In 2015, Dustin was named to the Fulton County Daily Report’s “On the Rise 40 Under 40.” In 2015 and 2016, Dustin was selected by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 trial lawyer in Georgia.
Dustin is a graduate of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Leadership Education & Advanced Direction (“LEAD”) Program, and Leadership Hall County.
Serving on the Executive Council of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, Dustin is the Director of Law School Outreach. He is also a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, Georgia Legal History Foundation, Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association, and Blue Ridge Bar Association.
Dustin’s practice consists of handling motor vehicle and tractor trailer collision cases, as well as medical malpractice and product liability cases.
A native Georgian, Dustin graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2007 with a degree in Political Science. He attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, graduating in 2011. Dustin was a member of the Mercer Advocacy Council, through which he competed in mock trial competitions, and was a pupil in the William Augustus Bootle Inn of Court. During his third year of law school, Dustin was awarded the Guerry R. Moore Insurance Law Award for excelling in the study of insurance law.
